Google Plus Photos is one of the more popular features of Google Plus. I’ve had my photos backing up to Google Plus for some time and now there’s even more reason for me to do so. Last week, Google Plus launched new tool called,”Stories.” If you’re like me, you love taking photos and documenting trips, gatherings, holidays and so on. But you don’t like taking the time to create, sort, organize and arrange photo albums. Good news! Stories will do that for you – automatically putting together photos, videos, maps and time-stamps into an instant photo documentary.
No more hours spent sorting, looking for the best shots of each moment of your trips. No more letting your photos collect virtual dust! Stories will put it all together so you don’t have to.
Google Plus also introduced Movies to Android, iOS and the web. So you’ll start to see a highlight reel of photos and videos automatically. Movies will include effects, transitions and a soundtrack.
Stories rolled out on the web and on Android devices, with an iOS version coming next.
Some other highlights:
- You now have the ability to create animated GIFs and photobooth-style images on demand. You just tap the new plus button in Photos, and select either Motion or Mix.
- You’ll be able to browse your entire photo library, as well as your highlights, by date. Do this by dragging the new scroll bar to move forward or backward in time.
- If you have really large photo libraries they are now supported on Android. Now you can access your many thousands of photos much more quickly and easily.
To get started with Stories or Movies all you need to do is back up your photos and videos to Google+. That’s it! Google Plus takes care of the rest! Look for a notification when your movie is created. Go to your pull down menu to select Stories to see all the story albums that Google Plus has created for you. Enjoy!
